Workers were hustled out of bundles of cash as a fraudster promised them cigarettes and alcohol that did not exist,
The man convinced the victims that he owned an off licence and was going out of business so had to get rid of some stock. He claimed he needed to clear it out quickly before leaving with £600 cash for the non existent stock.
The group of office workers jumped at the opportunity to benefit from this seemingly excellent deal only to be hustled out of their hard earned cash.
Police stated that the conman requested one of them drive him to his supposed off licence in Green Street, Sunbury and wait for him at the back.
When the man then left but never returned
An image of the man has been released in the hopes that he can be identified.
The man has been described as an Asian male of large build in his late 40s, between 5ft 8ins and 5ft 10ins tall.
He had a shaved head, a mole below one eye and a scar on his upper lip.
